Booking a Yangtze River Cruise by Thom Sanders
Every year hundreds of people decide that a Yangtze River Cruise would be a great idea, and you won’t find disagreement from me, as holidays to China from UK are becoming more common. But it is worth bearing in mind that the range of different cruises on this beautiful river is both extensive and of a very varying quality. This article looks at three different areas that are worth taking into account when looking for a Yangtze River cruise to make sure you get the best deal possible.
First up it’s the old restricted commuter boats and the saying ‘you get what you pay for’. The commuter boats may look like fantastic deals, unbelievable prices in some cases, but you really do get what you pay for. The service on these boats is usually poor, the boats themselves are usually in a poor state of repair and you often find that although the initial price is cheap the expenses on board can be anything but.
Tip number two, which is especially easy to do for anyone with an Internet connection, is to look up the cruise you’re thinking of taking before you book. There’s a wide range of Travel review sites out there and a look around can really help you work out if the trips one you would be happy spending money on. It’s also worth looking at several different review sites to reduce the impact of ‘fake reviews’ that companies may have done themselves to counteract poor actual reviews.
The final tip, and a great way to get a good Yangtze River experience, is to go with one of the larger agencies. There are many travel agencies out there that offer cruises like this that have good reputations and so are a safe bet. It’s also worth asking around friends and family members as they’ll give you honest reviews of travel agencies they’ve been with, even if they haven’t been on a Yangtze River cruise themselves.
Over all it’s a few easy steps like this that can insure you get the holiday that you really want, so spending a little time before you set off to do the research can pay dividends in the future when your actually out on holiday. After all Yangtze River Cruising really is a fantastic experience an you wouldn’t want a bad Travel Company to stand between you and a once in a lifetime experience!
